Description

In this piece, all six word combinations; 
Smell & Scent, Hear & Listen, Look & See, Touch & Feel, Taste & Savour, Learn & Know
are stencilled across the surface in an almost scattered constellation, each tilted on its own axis, suggesting the way sensory perception is fragmented, overlapping, and constantly in motion.

The background is washed in red, white, and dusty black—a palette reminiscent of both urban graffiti walls and the flag of Cologne, deepening the piece’s geographical and cultural resonance. At the heart of the composition lies a stylised coat of arms featuring three crowns and eleven black droplets—directly referencing the city of Cologne’s historic crest.

The way the text intersects and overlays the shield suggests a dialogue between personal, sensory experience and collective, civic identity. It’s as if the senses are being mapped onto place—how we smell, see, hear, and touch our way through urban heritage.
