Istanbul28Y03 Ordu Caddesi

Istanbul28Y03 Ordu Caddesi

650,00 € โ€“ 1.000,00 €

A bridge repainted, a clocktower remodelled, an Olympic bid that never became an Olympics. And underneath it all, the same impossible crossing. As busy in 2024 as it was the day the 1996 shutter clicked.

Image 3 of the Istanbul Revisit series is only a few steps away from the 2nd image. On the right you can see the building that is on the left in that image. On the left we see the bridge that was painted bright yellow/white in the nineties. It has been renovated and there was still/again work done in 2024. The clocktower is interesting, it has been remodelled but we can clearly see the outlines of the old tower. Also there is a sign advertising the 2004 Olympics that Istanbul did a bid for but did not win (the 2004 Olympic games were held in Athens, Greece). The traffic situation has not changed much as this is still a very busy crossing.
