Within London City there exists the The City of London. This, roughly the size of a square mile city, is protected by dragons that guard the main roads into the city from perfidious invaders. Cast-iron statues of dragons on plinths demarcate entry thresholds into the City of London, which constitutes the Roman settlement in the 1st century AD extended to the Middle Ages, and contains the historic center and primary central business district.
The once walled inner city is to this date still a separate entity within London City and is evermore guarded by 14 dragons. Early August 2023 I took about 1500 pictures while walking 10 Kilometer perimeter.
