Poço dos Negros
Laundry hangs from every balcony, sheets and towels and shirts in pinks and blues. A wooden sign says Mercearia Poço dos Negros, a groceries store. A lamp post is so covered in stickers it has become a notice board, and a woman walks past it without a glance. Two women stop to talk across a parked car, and another woman in a burgundy jacket looks back over her shoulder.
