Carreira 28 is part of the Virtual Journeys project. Urban walks rendered as graphic novel pages. Lisbon was the project’s third city, and the one that introduced a new approach: walking against the direction of travel, reversing the route, seeing the familiar from the ‘wrong’ end. The photographs reduced, processed, stripped back until what remains is the feeling of the walk rather than its documentation. Not the tram. Not the city the tram passes through. The people.
